After rains, meadows glisten.

Waters wash over copse and vale.

Light breaks, sheep scamper, movements

suck up shadows on checkered fells.

No fleet bird skims tall grasses.

No bee buzzes nascent blooms.

Showers scour within, pool at my boots,

stop short of rocky tarns. Poems surface as one.
